Limited Motion, Part I

The Challenge

Defeat the highest-rated bot while using no more than 3 steps in any turn.

Rules

The winner is the player who has defeated the highest-rated bot from the list below by 23:59 PDT on April 30, 2006. The winner will receive $15 US (IdahoEv's money). Anyone else who wants to contribute to the prize fund is welcome. (Amended the ending time again on Fri Apr 21 01:18:34 PDT 2006)

Tiebreakers

In case of a tie (same highest bot beaten), the tiebreakers will be (in order):

Lowest number of turns
Silver win beats Gold win. (i.e. winning on 36b is better than winning on 36w, but worse than winning on 35w). (Rules amendment added 16:05 PST 2004-04-20)
Earliest game (determined by game end time)

Other criteria and rules

Only wins by goal or immobilization will be considered. (Rules amendment added 15:30 PST 2004-04-20)
Any timescale with 15 or more seconds per move is legitimate. (Rules amendment added 15:30 PST 2004-04-20)
Evan Dorn may amend these rules at any time in order to clarify the rules or preserve the original intent of the contest. (Rules amendment added 15:40 PST 2004-04-20)
Only rated games count. (Rules amendment added 16:28 PST 2004-04-20)
Unrated games are allowed except against any 'GnoBot2006' bot. Games vs. Gnobby2006 must be rated to be considered. (Rules amendment added 17:00 PST 2006-04-20)
Any games begun after 17:00 PST 2006-04-20 must be played at the time scale used by that bot in the bot ladder. (Rules amendment added 17:00 PST 2006-04-20)
You must have at least one rabbit alive when you win, in order to prevent abuse of a bug in Clueless2006. (Rules amendment added Fri Apr 21 01:18:34 PDT 2006)
